It’s a pleasure to make your acquaintance!

My bad habits aren’t my title. My strengths and my talent are my title.”
Layne Staley

All this focus on your weakness.  Will you take a moment out of your daily critique and allow me to introduce you to someone who is enthusiastic to make your acquaintance?  It is my pleasure to introduce you to your strength.  And your strength replies: “I can dance, I can play, I can write and I can say. I am great, I am humble, I have certainly had my share of tumbles.  But light up if you will for today’s a new day, with enthusiasm and passion I will show you the way.  It is a pleasure to get your attention. Your head can now be looking in the right direction.  I have known you all along. What a treasure to think that I have met you and came through when you were just humming and singing your song.” You turn to ask almost pleading, “Can you stay?”  Then your strength responds: “i would be delighted, but there is only one way. You must accept me but only with love and gratitude, for if you do, I’ll never go away.” So just for today, instead of berating yourself for what you cannot do, look at what you can.  There is so much there that you have been graced with. Start to learn to develop it and embrace your blessings.  It is truly the discovery of your God given talents that will define the trajectory of your life. Find out what comes natural to you and make its acquaintance.   With this friendship and bond, your life long journey will be renewed with incredible light that sparks the interest in living again.
